This court handles all filings and hearings for the admission of wills, the administration of estates, applications for and administration of guardianships and conservatorships, adult protective services actions, administration of mental illness cases, adoptions, name changes, minor settlement cases, and wrongful death cases. Additionally, this court issues marriage licenses.

This year’s Wood County Probate and Juvenile Court Annual CLE Program will return to its original three hour format !

The program will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the same location as recent years -- the Wood County Department of Job and Family Services facility on Gypsy Lane Road in Bowling Green. The program will run from 8:45am through noon.

House Bill 5, known as the Adoption Modernization Bill, was passed in late 2024 and became effective on March 20, 2025. As a result of these changes, adoption forms 18.0, 18.2, 19.0, and 19.2 have been amended. Form 19.6 is a new form that is required in cases where a support order exists. New adoptions filed on or after the effective date must use the latest forms. These can be found on the court’s forms page.



A meeting of the Great Lakes Guardianship Services Board will take place on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 12:00pm. The meeting will be held at 209 W. Main Cross St. Findlay Ohio.
